The ever-expanding multi hull cruising fleet, have the space to enable them to add the creature comforts of home. Also, their solar arrays can be way larger, than even the largest mono hull. With twin diesel propulsion engines, they can also generate twice the energy from their engines. This combination makes eliminating the generator very doable.

The vast majority of these vessels operate in salt water. They tend to have a larger crew due to multiple heads and cabins. As a result the need quality water but in higher quantities.

Multihulls, heading offshore for extended periods of time need energy, water and fuel independence, this is one of systems we recommended for these vessels 36 -50 feet with 2 -10 people on board. They need great amounts of energy storage but need fast charging from their diesels. This compact, simple, super high output system is ideal. The 1,320 amp hour house battery bank is the equivalent to 2,600 amps of lead acid. Their primary source of energy comes from solar. The water maker uses so little energy and is relatively high output just let it run every day after the solar has topped up the batteries. You will have surplus clean water after any human needs, to get the salt off of key boat components (stainless steel fittings, rigging, canvas and out parts the sun and salt want to eat)
